The standout, White Park, is 170 acres that includes an indoor ice arena that is perfect for family fun. The Marilla Skate Park features an outdoor skate board and BMX bike facility including a half-pipe, pyramid with a rail and two combination vert ramps. Seven 18-hole golf courses offer duffers challenging greens and fairways three seasons a year. Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa overlooking Cheat Lake is home to two 18-hole championship courses. Meadow Ponds Golf Course and Mountaineer Golf Course offer beautiful mountain views while the course at Alpine Lake was chosen by Golf Traveler magazine as a top-50 “scenic & friendly” destination in the U.S. One nine-hole course, Dunkard Valley Golf, offers a quick round on your way out of town.
Dog Lovers have a place in Morgantown, too: Stanley’s Spot Dog Park is the perfect place to take your best friend! The park features fenced areas for large and small dogs and is located along the Decker’s Creek Trail.

Mountaineer Golf Course is challenging, yet player friendly for any skill level. Semi-fast greens vary in size from 2500 to 7200 square feet. Founded in 1925 on property originally belonging to George Washington, Preston Country Club offers golf and dining to the public as well as its members. Not only a great place for rock climbing... Coopers Rock State Park also has nearly 50 miles of trails wind through the forest. One of our more popular trails, Henry Clay Iron Furnace Trail takes you on a trip back in time as you round the last bend of the trail you find a huge stone structure used for producing iron in the 1800’s it is located in a grassy glade in an otherwise undisturbed forest.
